OUR CLIENT:

Our client is a very well established large main contractor in the UK, Ireland and select countries in Europe. They are heavily involved in capital project for large pharma. Technology and Food companies. which they construct turnkey from “first sod” to commissioning and handover. Projects would range from €50 million to €200 million

They are seeking a seeking a (Senior) Quantity Surveyor to report directly to the Commercial Director for ongoing works in Ireland with valued at several hundred million euro.

You can be located either in Dublin or the Midlands and flexibility will be offered to the right candidate.

The role will involve involvement is large scale projects and will involve site to site travel. Transport and travel allowances will be provided.

The role would suit a hands-on quantity surveyor and would offer considerable potential for the right candidate

THE ROLE: Senior QS

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Interpret contract and ensure the best interest of the project is protected

Supervising junior QS’s

Identifying and pricing of all variations as and when they occur

Managing and forecasting the cash flow of the project

Improve and implement best practice commercial processes and accurate budgeting

Keep detailed records of all correspondence to be easily retrieved when required.

Manage procurement process

Ensure Construction Team is adhering to all Contractual Requirements and providing advice and monitoring of same

Prepare and agree interim valuations at the agreed dates to gain the best commercial advantage for the company.

Prepare, and in conjunction with senior management agree final account with client’s representative.

Agree final accounts with subcontractors to maximise project margins.

REQUIRMENTS:

Appropriate 3rd level qualification

In excess of 5 years’ experience with a main contractor.

No previous Data Center experience required for the right candidate.
